What my experience means for you

Scientific understanding.
Commercial perspective.

For more than 40 years, laboratory software and scientific informatics have been at the center of my work. I’ve experienced the questions from both sides: what vendors build and offer, and what customers need to make the investment worthwhile.

That perspective helps me look beyond a feature list. The real questions are about the work your scientists do, the information managers need, the changes people can adopt, and the value the business expects.

My focus is helping life science and energy businesses improve the performance and profitability of their laboratory functions. I also help manufacturers of scientific software connect their products with those customer priorities. I am available for short or long-term projects on either side of the vendor–customer relationship.

AI adds new possibilities to that conversation. I help you frame useful opportunities, question the assumptions, and identify how to evaluate value in your own scientific setting.

How I work

Listen carefully.
Ask useful questions.
Make progress practical.

Start with the challenge you’re facing and the outcome you want. I’ll work with you to understand the scientific workflow, the software context, and the business priorities.

We agree the scope and useful deliverables together. My aim is to leave you with clearer choices and practical actions your team can use.

The name behind the practice

About Tireinon

Pronounced “Tea – Rhine – On”

Tireinon is a Welsh name meaning “Einon’s land.” It refers to the land where the medieval Prince Einon fought to defend his nation.

The name was later adopted by a renowned Welsh Cob breeding stud on the same land. The qualities associated with those horses—quality, temperament, and versatility—inform the spirit of Tireinon Consulting.

Those qualities guide how I work with clients: thoughtful advice, adaptability, and a focus on success in competitive commercial environments.
